[mini event] What is November to you?

Tell me what the month of November is for you and your family.
Is the season where you live 'fall' during November?
Are there any special celebrations or holidays during this month for you?

For me in America November is fall.  It is a time of year when the days get much shorter and the nights longer.
I have comfortable temperatures during the day and chilly temperatures at night.
We prepare for our national holiday of Thanksgiving.  There is much more to our holiday than
many people know.  Part of America LOVES the holiday, where as another part do not (for very good reasons).
My family and I choose to acknowledge the day by thanking God for all of those people and things in our lives
that we consider his blessings.  We don't celebrate the history of the holiday.
We DO watch some great parades on the television, and football games.
I cook a VERY big meal for everyone that comes to our home.

A brief summary is that the Native American people were invaded by other countries and their people
(MANY) killed in an attempted genocide by others.  Not by you or me, but historically by others.
I can not go back in time and change it.  (I have a wee bit of Native American in my gene pool.)
I can educate others to see the truth of the holiday.
What everyone makes out of it is by their own choosing.
I don't live on an NA reservation but I am told I live at poverty level (poor).
I feel rich.  I keep warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.
I have food and a roof over my head.  I have people that love me who I love back dearly.

I love Thanksgiving because of my blessings.
I despise it's falsely documented history.
That is what November is to me and my family.

November is a great month for me there are many party's
and no holidays but in November its realy cold but
and in november we will do much things like clean the house lol
and more get things and a christmas tree for next month

November is awesome because  Fall is here, the weather is cool, bonding season with my family and friends is well under way, Thanksgiving is right around with gladly proud ...my brother's Birthday ^^ cool

I guess for me its because November is the time...or I think the only time I get to vist my younger brother's(they are twins) grave and ponder and think about what would my life be if they are alive...

you may not also believe it by I usually also talk about thing happening within the family in front of the grave....I know its freaky but it makes me feel like even if I haven't got the chance to be an elder brother to them...at least I know they are always a part of me

well enough of the sad talk though. November is also the month before December which means its the Month before my b-day

hmmm November for me was very boring exept all the halloween events

Well, im in a different part of the world, so here its spring, although it started long ago, so it's not important at all. But there is something really nice about november, and it's that my holidays start this month , only if i go well in my exams of course. But november is a month of joy because school is over and summer break starts

here is spring, I have many birthdays on novembers of 15th of girls and they celebrate it here with a big party
